For your information:

Overview:

Hot Tub on the Hillside is available for private group bookings between 2 and 4 people during daylight hours only. You will have the freedom to make a visit on the day of your booking of up to 3 hours duration between 12pm and 7:30pm (during autumn) when the tub will need to be vacated. Payment for bookings must be made by 8am on the day of arrival or the booking will be cancelled.

A healthy constitution is essential as you will be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The water in the hot tub itself is approximately 40 degrees celcius but the air temperature may be close to freezing at times and wind chill can cause it to feel colder! The changing room is 60m walk from the hot tub.

During winter it is recommended to arrive no later than 3pm.

During summer it is recommended to visit in the evening to avoid the midday heat.

Payment is via an online service called Stripe that securely enables credit and debit card payments that will be sent as an invoice to your email address and can be paid directly therein. Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express in New Zealand. Further details and booking conditions will be provided upon making an enquiry via the contact page.

The Hot Tub

The LPG gas heated Kiwitub is drained and cleaned between bookings and will be filled with fresh clean water heated to approximately 39 degrees celcius prior to your arrival. You will need to remove the insulating lid which weighs about 20kg. This is best done with two people on either side of the tub.

It is possible to add additional cold water as well as to reheat the water if required during your soak by following instructions provided.

It's a cosy space to be in measuring 130cm across internally with a water depth of about 70cm. That's enough space for a person over 6 foot tall to stretch their legs out and have water covering their shoulders. On a cold day the feeling upon entering the water is just magic!

Views stretch out towards Coronet Peak over bucolic vistas. The tranquility is really something to savour and how better to do it than in a hot tub!

Facilities:

Changing and toilet facilities are located near the parking areas of each tub. Towels are provided as well as drinking water, polycarbonate drinkwares including wine glasses, umbrella hats and instructions for reheating the tub when required during your visit.

Bags, shoes, clothes etc can be stored in a large weatherproof box beside the hot tub.

Directions:

Just 10 minutes drive from Queenstown, upon payment directions will be provided to find your way to the site. You will be able to drive in to within easy walking distance of the hot tub which is located a short walk uphill.

Towels and drinking water is provided but you may wish to bring other drinks and food for a picnic.
